OrbitX gives people an informative, responsive way to explore planets, the sun, and asteroid belts through a 3D solar-system visualization in the browser.
Why it exists
I wanted to make astronomy data feel more visual, engaging, and approachable through an interactive web-based learning tool.
What I owned
I developed the Next.js application with Turbopack, built the 3D celestial components, and integrated detailed planet textures for a richer exploration experience.
